Dog-Gone Capable Training Videos

Loose leash walking is being able to comfortably walk your dog without having to physically strain to keep up with your dog. Having a dog walk right next to you is ideal especially when out in a public setting. In the above video this owner is not only walking one but two dogs with a our loose leash teachings.

Dogs are naturally impulsive and reactive to their environments. One of the important things we teach dogs in our training programs is to restrain those impulses. This makes getting along in their human environment much easier. Here,  a Shepard Mix Pup is demonstrating his restraint with his owners chickens by holding The Sit Command.

One of the most important commands we teach at Dog-Gone Capable is The Place Command. The command is for a dog to go to a designated area or on an object and stay until their owner releases them to move off. This command can be used anywhere and on anything.  In this video The Place Command is being worked at a local park. This is an advanced obedience command that has off leash control.

At Dog-Gone Capable we want our dog owners to feel comfortable taking their dogs anywhere. To ensure this we practice all commands under different levels of distractions throughout the training process. The above video shows one of our group classes where owners bring their dogs to different public locations to practice some higher level distractions. This is a Pack Walk where we are focused on our loose leash walking in close proximity to one another.

This is another video showing owners working The Sit Command on leash under a higher level of distraction. This helps owners know and feel confident that they can take their dogs around other dogs and still have them in control and listening.
